The sequel gives Leatherface a more overtly conflicted relationship with Stretch. Bill Johnson’s acting and Bob Elmore’s physical work are both important to the performance history; the film’s production sources discuss them separately.
Continuity matters
A direct sequel to the 1974 film, with Lefty’s connection to Sally and Franklin making the relationship explicit. Later installments do not consistently preserve its ending.
