In the story
Stretch’s colleague at the radio station is drawn into the family’s attack. His relationship to her helps make the station a workplace with human stakes before it becomes another controlled space.
Continuity matters
A direct sequel to the 1974 film, with Lefty’s connection to Sally and Franklin making the relationship explicit. Later installments do not consistently preserve its ending.
