In the story
The Tea Lady is one of the figures Erin encounters while looking for help. Her apparently domestic surroundings participate in the same uncertainty about hospitality that structures the group’s journey.
Continuity matters
A remake, not a sequel to the original film’s events. The 2006 film is its prequel; Thomas Hewitt belongs to this continuity rather than being a universal name for every Leatherface.
