Steve Jablonsky’s return gives the remake and prequel a shared composer. This is a production connection, not evidence that every cue or sonic idea is repeated unchanged.

An archive reading: the slaughterhouse and the family’s tools create an industrial vocabulary that can be heard as well as seen. The score and effects help connect the family’s economic collapse to the spaces where it confines its victims.
