Jonathan Liebesman directed the prequel, with a screenplay by Sheldon Turner from a story credited to Turner and David J. Schow. Lukas Ettlin served as cinematographer, while Steve Jablonsky returned as composer.
Andrew Bryniarski, R. Lee Ermey, Marietta Marich, Terrence Evans, and Kathy Lamkin connect the production to the remake’s household. Jordana Brewster, Matt Bomer, Taylor Handley, and Diora Baird form the new traveling group.
