Across the open ground

The shed and water tower are best seen after Sally breaks through the dining-room window and realizes she must cross the exposed property to reach Old County Road 172.

The outbuildings help establish the practical geography of the farm. Their placement shows how much open ground separated the house from the road and why the final escape feels so exposed.

Objects left behind

The photographs document a car body, a two-wheeled cart, covered storage, and piles of discarded material under the shed roof. These ordinary objects gave the location much of its found, unpolished production texture.
